**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. is seeking an experienced SQL Database Administrator who will be responsible for the d
esign, installation, administration, security, configuration, and maintenance of all firm databases. The Senior Database Administrator is also responsible for database analysis and reporting, documentation, and performance tuning and monitoring to ensure optimum functionality of the firm's databases.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following core technical capabilities:
Intimate experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2012 -- 2019 (both standard and Enterprise editions).
Experience performing and analyzing SQL traces and SQL Execution plans to identify and implement optimizations for either the queries or the database indices.
Experience designing, implementing, and managing highly available SQL clusters using Always On Availability Groups.
Experience developing and documenting standard operating procedures and processes; experience training IT operations staff to perform operational administrative tasks on SQL servers and databases.
Demonstrated commitment to working collaboratively as part of a team.
Strong focus on client service and responsiveness.
Strong project and time management skills.
Additional experience preferred but not required:
Experience with MySQL/MariaDB and PostgreSQL design, implementation and management.
Experience with NoSQL technologies such as MongoDB and Redis.
Experience with SQL running in a cloud environment (SaaS -- Azure SQL or IaaS -- MS SQL Server on hosted VMs.
