The Role
You are an experienced Azure Application Architect who is passionate about innovation to help us build engaging and intelligent applications. As Lead Azure Architect will be responsible for the successful implementation of Azure architectures and environments and provide cloud security expertise. This role will act as an expert and trusted advisor who will provide guidance for transforming legacy implementations to the cloud for both software and infrastructure for IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS and leading and designing for large-scale migration from on-prem to the cloud. You will be involved with:Design and optimize cloud strategies for the cost-effective delivery of scalable, secure and reliable systems up to 99.999% uptime SLA

Work collaboratively as a member of the development team to build best-in-class Azure .NET software solutions and securely design applications and services following industry best
practices
Involvement in requirements discussions, project planning and in the system design and implementation.
Provide technical expertise, estimates, and recommendations to the Application Development Lead and/or Project Management.
Communicate risks and issues to the Application Development Lead and/or Project Manager.
Work with DevOps team to setup Automated deployments
The Requirements
Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or other engineering or technical discipline is required
5 years of experience in IT architecture including experience with cloud
2 years of experience with implementation and support of cloud and hybrid-cloud implementations on Azure, including exposure to some of the advanced services and features
Thorough understanding of infrastructure (firewalls, network, load balancers, storage, monitoring)
Deep hands-on technical knowledge of Azure PaaS components
Extensive experience with implementing, migrating, managing, and operating applications in an enterprise cloud computing environment
Subject matter expertise with Microsoft Azure, Azure AD integration, Azure security and governance
Expert knowledge of serverless cloud architecture, microservices architecture, APIs, RESTful Webservices, Service Fabric
Experience with PowerShell scripting, design and building ARM templates
Experience building cloud enterprise architecture diagrams
Experience writing cloud architecture technical documentation, security accreditation and other technical documentation
Cloud experience securing PII, PHI, GDPR, HIPAA Compliance, NYDFS and other data privacy laws
Containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker or Kubernetes
Preferred Qualifications
Azure Cloud Platform Certifications are a plus
Understanding of Agile software development and Scrum methodologies
Exposure to Azure DevOps/VSTS/Git Branching/Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment
Experience with network virtualization and ability to troubleshoot cloud communication issues
Experience with infrastructure and application deployment automation tools
Experience with SQL Server, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB
Comprehensive knowledge of the Visual Studio development/SQL Management Studio environments
Working with global teams and offshore resources
