Description
The Informatics Principal coordinates with other analytics, IT and business areas across the organization to ensure work is completed with insights from knowledge SMEs. The Informatics Principal provides strategic advice and guidance to functional team(s). Highly skilled with broad, advanced technical experience.
Responsibilities
The Informatics Principal leverages their advanced knowledge of data, modeling, optimization, and tools. Applies disciplined analytics to innovate and optimize programs and products to maximize revenue growth or optimize health care costs. Utilizes advanced or predictive modeling to develop, test and validate cases that improve the outcomes and quality of the programs we offer. Contributes to more innovative approaches to financial models as it builds knowledge of the business context in which it operates. Understands and analyzes complex data, articulates to various stakeholders within the company at the appropriate level, impacts the business from mathematical concepts which have a potentially sizeable dollar impact on the business. Works with senior executives to develop and drive segment or enterprise-wide functional strategies. Advises one or more areas, programs or functions and provides recommendations to senior executives on matters of significance, and as an advanced subject matter expert competent to work at very high levels in multiple knowledge and functional areas across the enterprise. Manages a team of high-performing informatics professionals to deliver on-time and high quality results as part of strategic programs and cross-functional partnerships. Routinely navigates and leads cross-functional collaboration efforts and charts value-aligned paths for increasing scope of team's work and impact.
Required Qualifications
Master's degree and 10 or more years of related analytical or consulting experience
2 or more years' experience leading and managing high-functioning teams
Advanced experience with SQL
Strategic thinking, planning, cross-functional collaboration, and project management capabilities
Organized and detail-oriented with a continuous process improvement mindset
Experience in defining and executing measurement programs and working with multiple business functions
Experience with advanced analytics, including program evaluation and optimization
Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to take complex situations and break them into simple, manageable parts
Demonstrated experience working with and presenting to senior leadership
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced Degree
Six Sigma certification
Advanced experience in SAS, SQL, Python, QlikView, Tableau, Hadoop or similar tools
